People have been more than wonderful, but what I experienced today was out of the norm and distressing. I asked to use the bathroom and was handed a men's key. I told the employee I use the women's bathroom. This employee proceeded to deny a key to the women's restroom. And stating that there are "urnals and seats." Going into that bathroom is a very dysphoric experience, moreover, I don't use urnals. They wouldn't let me use the bathroom I felt comfortable even though I was a paying customer. Their reason? Quote "I'd rather not..." Upon departure of the gas station they stated in a mocking tone "you're not a woman." Sad to see this in 2023.
