  I’m giving this 3 stars because the squeegees actually have water in them, which is the only thing in this zip code that isn't bone-dry and dying. This place is the 'Grand Central Station' for people whose entire life plan is just idling in place. The parking lot is a total freak show of low-rent survivalism. I watched a guy in oversized suspenders and a 10-gallon hat spend ten minutes trying to figure out how a card reader works, moving with the speed of a tectonic plate. He eventually climbed back into a '96 Ford Explorer that had a literal livestock water tank strapped to the roof with rotting twine—as if he’s expecting a flash flood in a town that hasn't seen a drop of 'progress' since the silver mines dried up. The 'heavy air' here is thick with the scent of unwashed denim and the collective desperation of 'stargazers' who hang out by the air pumps. They’re staring at the sky with their mouths open, waiting for a UFO to beam them up because they've clearly realized that no one on Earth is coming to save this dump. It’s a town full of people with zero velocity, trading stories about their 'legacy' bench vises while their trucks dissolve into the pavement. 5 stars for the caffeine, but 0 stars for the human scenery. It’s the only 'Adventure' stop where the only thing you’ll discover is exactly how much a human soul can atrophy in one afternoon.

  We frequent this location more often than the other one. It's closer to us and we like most of the staff. Some need to be friendlier. Eye contact and maybe a smile or a nod?? There is a cashier(small blondish gal) that needs to stay off her phone while customers are being helped or while at work. Period... All employees need to stay off their phone unless they're on break. If there's a family emergency, family can call the employee's work number...Anyway, we had just been checked out and right to her phone she went. This isn't the first time I have witnessed her on it while working... At least she said, "Have a good day". No eye contact. Phone was more important.. The best pizza cook is the tall guy. He's very friendly and when he makes pizzas, they look so much better than anyone else's.

  The people in the front of the store were great but the tall girl in the kitchen no name on badge made me fill like a burden for asking for 2 tacos and a nocho its 12:21 on 9/24/25 she needs training i work in fast food and would never treat one if my customers like that

  This is by far the stinkiest and dirtiest Maverick Adventure stop restroom I have ever been too. I've been to a lot of Mavericks. I plan our road trips around Maverick Adventure stops. If the restroom looks this bad, I don't even want to know what the grill kitchen or convenience prepared food items look like. Very disappointed Maverick. I do not enjoy giving negative reviews and hope this helps someone. I would probably only stop for gas if I had too. I will not stop for the restroom or food.
