- RCRandy CatanachDec 12, 20251.0I've used them twice and was left disappointed both times. I will not be returning. First time I had the windshield replaced on my Saab 9-2x. They arrived and didn't have the correct windshield or the right seal. It's a fairly obscure car so I let it slide (although it's really just a Subaru Impreza and I told them that). The windshield is fine but the seals look absolutely terrible. The second time I had the windshield replaced on my 4Runner. They unnecessarily removed the cabin air filter to try to upsell me on a replacement. While doing this, they let debris fall into the blower motor which caused a loud ticking sound coming from the vents. I figured that was the issue but they recommended against fixing it myself and my wife left the car with them. After returning to pick up the car for the 2nd time, the seat belt warning light would not go off. The car was returned again and was fixed relatively quickly by a technician. The third issue, I cannot say with certainty was the fault of Safelite, though I strongly believe it was - a small spot on my passenger seat was melted, with what looks like an adhesive chemical burn. They denied it was them, as I assumed they would without absolute proof, but I'm certain this issue was not present before bringing the vehicle to Safelite.
- BBBretDec 12, 20254.0Staff is very friendly and professional. Was talked into using their non-oem windshield for my Jeep Wrangler. Of the last 2 OEM windshields, had a have dozen nicks before I finally decided to replace first one, then second one had a half dozen nicks and hits and finally a crack. They replaced this windshield with their non-oem version, and it never even made it home before it had a small nick that extended across the whole windshield. Refused to honor warranty, made me file another claim. It literally did not survive a 20 minute trip home. Will never use anything but OEM again, their windshield stock is absolute trash, wouldn’t let them talk you into anything else but OEM. Could just be very very bad luck but this feels like a profit center for them.
