The return agent at Reno International Airport, I still remember her name because she made such a huge impact on me with her kindness. Also the agent at the Alamo counter when I landed from Seattle at 9:40pm on Thursday, told me to grab a taxi to the hospital because it was very close and it would be very quick, then said I should make a reservation for a car online the next day, to save some money. I did not know how much those precious moments would matter to me. I arrived to the hospital at 10:30, after leaving from the airport at 10:25pm at night. My loved one passed at 1:08am and I sincerely appreciate that man's help and advice about getting to the hospital asap. I would not have had extra moments with my family. Thank you for your kindness. - JRJennifer RamsayJan 2, 20261.0I do not recommend Alamo rental car. We came from Southern California for a vacation in Southlake Tahoe. We had requested an intermediate SUV four-wheel-drive but when we arrived at the airport, they did not have any four-wheel-drive. We were given a 2 Wheel Dr. pick up because supposedly that’s all they had. We spent the majority of our vacation trying to switch it To the original requested four-wheel-drive, which was greatly needed in the snow and ice. We were unable to do most of the activities and go to places we had intended since we only had an unsafe 2 Wheel Drive. Conditions called for for chains and a four-wheel-drive. The only rental car Option in Southlake Tahoe was closed for the weekend. After numerous phone call, we were told, The enterprise Southlake Tahoe, location had a four-wheel-drive available. We immediately drove to the location, only to be told by the manager that that vehicle was for insurance related purposes and could not be given to us. He clearly did not want to honor the promised reservation. Overall, Shockingly bad customer service and lack of four-wheel drives needed for icy and snow conditions.
