Would not recommed this car wash. The laborers working there were nice and helpful, but when their machinery damaged my truck, ripping a piece of the trim off of my hood and then the blower blowing it off without me even realizing it, in full view of the worker spraying the machinery at the exit down, who then attempted to flag me down, they are claiming that their machinery didn't do it and that it isnt their responsibility. They are claiming that the trim piece was not fully attached, but the metal brackets that held the trim piece in place were intact prior to going into the car was. This trim piece would not have been able to stay on the vehicle with the vehicle in motion, which their cameras clearly saw. Each time I applied the brakes, the trim piece would have come off the vehicle if the brackets weren't intact prior to entering their car wash. The manager or owner, not sure which and it's worse if it's the owner, refuses to accept responsibility for damaging my truck. This is not an expensive part to replace, Ebay lists it for ~$100, so it is not a matter of expenses, it is a matter of principal, 4 months of their car washes for my subscription alone would have paid it back with no issues. Now I refuse to use their car wash and I will recommend to everyone else not to ever use Tommy's as they attempt to weasel out of minor damage claims instead of accepting responsibility for minor issues their machinery caused. I had an issue with their machinery previously, same vehicle, where it bent my antenna but rather than claiming that then, which I now regret, I simply replaced my antenna with a shorter one myself to prevent the machinery from breaking the manufacturers original antenna. Would not recommend this car wash, use at your own risk and be prepared to either have to argue with them to get them to accept responsibility for the damage/destruction to your car, or eat the damage costs yourself or with your insurance policy.
As expected, they have responded with excuses and attempts to shift the blame. As I stated above, for full transparency, the metal brackets were not broken prior to entering the car wash. Reading through many other negative reviews, this is a common tactic for these individuals, attempt to shift blame, attempt to seem reasonable, attempt to seem like they did everything right but I'm the unreasonable party. I agreed to meet with your manager to review your photos, Tina you stated your manager wasn't available today. I asked you to send the photos via email, you refused and stated you would only send the photos to your insurance company. That doesnt sound very reasonable or transparent. You also muttered under your breath and heavily sighed multiple times while acting as though it's a bother to have to deal with customers that you are refusing to work with to make the damage caused by your machinery right. Then you stated, in an insulting manner and insinuating that I'm stupid; "I don't know how to make you understand". So here's the thing Tina, I canceled my subscription, $38/month. I told you the cost of the replacement hood trim ~$100. So now, instead of losing $100 to make right what your machinery broke on my truck, you are losing $456 for a single year's worth of My subscription alone. No big deal, it's only $456 right? I just started and now canceled my subscription. Plus my roommate has been bringing her car there at least once a month, sometimes more, that's another ~$456, roughly. So now, instead of covering the cost of the damages your machinery caused, leaving you out $100, which would be regained in 3 months of my subscription, you are out $912, for my and my roommates washes. $100 >/< $912?, idk Tina, I dont know how to make you understand math by now. You prefer to sigh and mutter instead of thinking, "hey, gravity isn't going to hold a hood trim piece in place when braking multiple times coming up to a car wash entrance", and that the metal brackets were intact and held the trim on my hood until your machinery broke it. I hope your sighs are worth it, mine aren't worth ~$1k.
