  Pulled up in the rain and these guys still got my service done fast and with great attitudes. Big shoutout to the Valvoline crew—reliable every time!

  If I could rate this store negative stars I would. 3 time and 2 different cars they messed up on! I brought my 4-Runner here first because it was close to my work. All went well until I got back to work and noticed my skid plate was hanging! Put a claim in and they fixed it but with attitude like it was my fault. 2nd time I brought my 4-Runner back and I felt something was off being sat there for 45 minutes before I got someone to tell me what was happening. Turns out “whoever did my oil change last” stripped out my skid plate bolts and they couldn’t get them off. I told them they were the last people to change my oil. They tried to make memory for these bolts too! So yesterday I went and got an oil change at my usual location by my house and I hear them talking about something that was wrong! Well surprise surprise they left bolts out of my skid plate and it was not covering my oil section and they left the plug seal out!!!!! 3rd time my daughter took her car there. They replaced the oil and the filter under the hood. Oh and the fun begins. She noticed the engine light came on and she was told to drive it and it should reset! It doesn’t. I called the claims department to let them know what happened and she asked me to pop the hood. Wouldn’t you know it but the filter compartment was not closed, it was missing the screw that keeps it secure and the hose leading to it was barely hanging on! Elgin the store manager calls me and says to bring it in. I get approval to take it to the one closest to me. I do the next morning as I said I would. Devante the store manager of this location looks at it and tells me there’s nothing he can do there as they are limited but confirms the code it was pulling (P0011), he resets the engine light and tells me if it comes on again that they will send me to their mechanic to have it looked at. Now we are at month 2 of this light issue! So it came back on about 3 weeks after I saw him so I call Valvoline claims department back again and they get Elgin back on the phone (he’s the manager at the 1st location). After going over the issues he tells me “the next time I send you somewhere be sure to go!” I told him I did go and he said well it doesn’t show you went! I sat there and described all the people that helped me to include Devantes (I called him Ray I believe on the phone) name! He called me out for being a liar because my car wasn’t scanned! They give me the mechanics name and I go the following morning. They sent me to Your Auto Service off of Craig Rd. I get there and first no one even knew I was coming. We had to call to get approval for them to look at the car because Elgin forgot to call! After about 30 minutes of trying to get approval my daughter’s car gets looked at! The owner says it needs a new timing chain but recommends a new engine. He says this car is too new to be having problems and recommends going to trade it in and gives me HIS sons number! I believe this guy. We start looking and when the car dealership hooks up to it - they find NOTHING wrong with the engine. I take it to another shop only to find out it’s 2 sensors that’s connected to the air intake that cost me $450 to replace and guess what - my timing chain and engine are good The sent me to a mechanic who lied to me about my car and tried to have his son sell me another one! The manager at this location needs to be replaced and all the employees need new training to include customer service. I’m waiting on Customer Care to call me back now!

  These people are idiots. Don’t let them touch your car with a 10’ pole. They left the cap off of the coolant reservoir resulting in a water pump failure. My car broke down and I had to tow it. They refused to send a tech out to help me because the invoice did not explicitly say they touched the coolant. I told them to review the cameras because clearly someone touched it, and was told it would take 6 weeks. Gianna (I think her name is), the lead tech here, was horrendous to work with and yelled at me over the phone. Complete lack of knowledge, negligence, and the worst customer service I think I’ve ever experienced. I will neverrrrrr return to a valvoline or recommend them to anyone. Their carelessness is a liability for your vehicle and your safety.

  Edit: I was contacted by customer care and the store manager and they are addressing the matter. They had me and my 2 children (13 & 6 year old) trapped in the car for 2 hours. We had to sit in the car with the windows up except the one window and we had to use the restroom, but we were not allowed to get out. They put a part on too tight the previous oil change and admitted fault at first, but then wanted me to pay to have it fixed. The manager Jesus then said it was not their fault. I still had to pay for this part to be replaced plus my oil change. Jesus was very degrading and argumentative with me and I did not feel like a customer at all. My husband had to come to the location to help me and my daughters get out of the car and speak with Jesus. It still took an additional two hours for them to use a hammer and screwdriver to break the part off of my car. We ended up paying for everything even though it was not our fault. We have opened an investigation through Valvoline, but have not heard from anyone yet. This seems like a scam and fraud to me not to mention the trauma that was caused to me and my daughters from this situation.
