The total cost ended up being more than twice what was shown during booking due to hidden fees. Other companies would have been cheaper if sixt was simply honest at all. Don't rent from here.

The Path Less Travelled - after a very painful "nobody's fault" experience (a tire blew at 1:30 AM at airport pickup... and it took 2 hours for AAA roadside assistance to come to the rescue) ... SIXT could have taken 1 of 2 paths: 1) "it's not our fault - here's an identical replacement vehicle" OR 2) "it's not our fault - but it wasn't YOUR fault either ... let us upgrade you to practically brand new BMW X5". Richard - the manager on duty - chose the 2nd path and graciously made a bad experience a MUCH better one. Definitely will use SIXT again

If you rent from this SIXT location, do not leave the lot until you’ve done a full walk-around inspection and taken thorough photos or video (close-ups included). Ideally capture images with clear time information and keep the original files. At pickup, I noticed the vehicle already had multiple scratches on the exterior, so before the car ever left the SIXT rental location, we documented the condition with photos from multiple angles. Despite that, after I returned the vehicle, SIXT contacted me and attempted to charge me for scratches. Only after I submitted my pre-rental photo evidence did they withdraw the claim and close the case. No charges were ultimately collected, but I had to spend significant time and effort proving damage was pre-existing. I do not consider it acceptable to start from the assumption that the customer caused damage and then require the customer to prove otherwise. This process creates unnecessary stress and raises serious concerns about fairness, deposits, and post-return billing practices. This location and the associated damage-claim workflow need a serious review, especially around vehicle condition documentation, damage assessment standards, staff training, and internal quality control. I’m posting this to help other customers protect themselves: 1. Take comprehensive photos/video at pickup before leaving the lot, including the license plate and common scratch areas. 2. Keep the original files (avoid apps that compress or remove metadata). 3. Monitor your email and card activity for days after return, and keep records of all communications and submissions if a claim appears. For context, I have rented from SIXT at other locations before and did not experience issues like this. Overall, those experiences were satisfactory. That’s exactly why this Vegas experience was so surprising and has seriously damaged my confidence in the company.

We were in Vegas for a Conference and rented a car From Sixt. After the conference, we were heading to Zion national Park and Bryce Canyon national Park. While checking in the gentleman was gracious and proceeded to give us some knowledge on places to visit. He recommended the valley of fire which we stopped by and seen on our way back from Zion national Park.. They upgraded our vehicle to a more spacious vehicle for the same charge. We then proceeded to take video and pictures of the vehicle while we were checking the vehicle out and we made a note of everything that we’ve seen on the vehicle and let the gentleman know while we were checking out what we had seen. he made a note on the bill. So after 6 day of traveling. We then proceeded back to the airport to check the car in everything went well. Low and behold, don’t you know I get a claim against me for damage to the vehicle saying that there was a dent in the back wheel well. guess what. I had pictures and video that it was already there. Responded back to them with their dispute forms sent the video and the pictures in. After sending the video and pictures in they then came back and wiped the claim against me clear and free. I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend that you take pictures and videos because OF THE VEHICLE YOU ARE RENTING because they are well known for trying to come back on you and make false claims against you for damage to their vehicles. Don’t get me wrong. The vehicle was clean. The vehicle was nice. I would rent from them again, but I did not like the tactic of them trying to make a claim against me for damage, that was already there.

It is now the second time that I have had a very disappointing experience with Sixt Rent a Car here in Las Vegas. A few weeks ago, as a Sixt Plus member renting through my company, I reserved and prepaid a vehicle. When I arrived at the pickup location, the car was not available. I was told to return the following day and was given a different vehicle in the meantime. However, the originally reserved car was again not available the next day as promised. When I asked why I should even make a reservation if the vehicle would not be honored, I received dismissive and inappropriate responses, including being told that I should simply be grateful to receive any car at all. Considering that it was Valentine’s weekend, I understand it may have been busy — however, my reservation had been made several days in advance and was fully prepaid in the amount of $1,284. Despite this, I was sent from one location to another and had to wait an additional three hours before finally receiving a vehicle. The entire experience was frustrating, time-consuming, and highly unprofessional. As a result, I have canceled my membership. Based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend renting from Sixt. In the future, I will choose other rental companies. I sincerely hope that this feedback is taken seriously and leads to improvements in customer service and reservation management. Oliver
