If you want to blow into your device for “randoms” every 15-20 minutes by all means get this one, if you’re a delivery driver. You’re gonna have to shut off the engine every time and blow to start again. Imagine how many times you’ll do that in a 4-8 hour shift. Also nothing but a money grab in one, month they got me for almost $400. My payments were supposed to be $50 but they managed to get $60 I only had mine for 3 months and easily went into $1000 spent when it was supposed to just be 3 months of $50. And whenever you send an email, no one responds. Also random lockouts. Which you gotta pay another $70 for. And I even got a false positive which later retested at 0.00. That camera roll of photos they got is nothing but bird flips when it wasn’t satisfied with my breath and would have me do it over, and over and over again in 3 minutes. Also your device can get “cold” and will ask to warm up 🤣😂. I get it consequences of my own actions. But gaaaaaahdaaaam this final week was a stretch! Also they wanna hit me for another $65 on my way out

I arrived 20 minutes early for my appointment. I called the main number and Eric met me in the parking lot and introduced himself. I headed up to the office and took a seat in the lounge, very comfortable by the way. Eric provided me an overview of the installation process and left me with some product literature. The install tech arrived shortly after and got started on my truck. Total install time was about 75 minutes. As I waited Eric stopped in a few times and he provided me some insight on the next steps to work with DMV so that I can get back on the road. Overall, a great experience. The installation and operation of the unit was clearly explained to me and I was encouraged by Eric to call him direct if I had any issues or concerns with the unit. Very professional group.

Frequently Asked Questions About Intoxalock Ignition Interlock

How does an interlock device work?

An ignition interlock device (IID) is a small breathalyzer installed in your vehicle to prevent it from starting if alcohol is detected on your breath. Before driving, you'll blow into the device. If your breath alcohol concentration (BrAC) is below the programmed limit, the car starts. Periodic retests occur during your trip to ensure continued compliance. What is the cost of an ignition interlock device?

The installation of an ignition interlock device, often called a car breathalyzer, typically costs between $70 and $150. This one-time fee is paid at the start of your lease and covers the service center's labor to install the device in your vehicle.
