    I recently booked a car and was charged for insurance/protection that I declined both online and in person. After the branch did an "internal review" they called to tell me that they had made a mistake and would refund the over $500 charge. After waiting a week for the refund to post to my card I called to find out that the exact opposite was true. I have return paperwork showing that for "protection or add-ons" I had NONE.

    I booked through Expedia (third party site) which stated that insurance was included in the price. After denying additional insurance at the Sixt rental location they charged me an addition $100US anyways. When I inquired why after jumping through the numerous hoops of the support call center the representative that barely spoke English said that I had signed for it during the pick up. Long story shorter...the rental ended up costing me $315CAD for a two day rental on a piece of crap Chevy Equinox that would not connect via android auto with my S24. In hindsight I should have booked with Enterprise or Budget located on the Strip where I was staying anyways.

    This was, by far, the worst rental car experience I have had. The only reason this isn't a 1 star review was because the price was the best in the area and the staff at the location were reasonable in person. The staff was friendly and quick to assist upon arrival. We were given a "free upgrade" which translated to a larger, less fuel efficient vehicle than we requested. We were presented with a screen of options to pay for protection, but there is not an option on the screen to decline additional protection. You must verbally decline additional protection. The vehicle itself was fine. The after-hours return and key drop were nice features to have, though a bit misleading as we were told to leave the vehicle in a SIXT parking space and there were no SIXT parking spaces available upon return. Things took a considerable turn for the worst after our return. We were charged $35 for fueling when we actually returned the vehicle with more fuel in it than when we picked it up. This was a blatant (or malicious) error by the team at SIXT Las Vegas Hughes Center. Despite providing images to the online service team at SIXT to prove the vehicle had more fuel in it when returned than when picked up, SIXT lied on multiple occasions and failed to admit the error. Due to the lack of respect and integrity from SIXT, I can not recommend renting from SIXT.

    I rented a rav4 online. I went to pick it up and come to find out it was not there. The only available vehicle was a Yukon. I planned to pick up the vehicle and head to a funeral because I reserved the rav4 and shouldn't have any problems right? Wrong, I was offered a Yukon which has a high miles per gallon. After the ladies brain stormed for 30 minutes they came up with an idea that one of the workers is coming back with a mini cooper. I think she took it to eat lunch... So after waiting a hour I finally received a vehicle I could accept. I was entirely late for the funeral. The day later My dad I were off to Las Vegas! We drove and noticed a vibration that steadily got worse. 6 hours later we found out the driver rear tire was separated. It was like a softball size bump ready to pop at any minute! I called the 1 800 number to ask about a mobile mechanic or a wrecker to come out to replace the bad tire. I was told to drive it! She said it's "only" 10 minutes away from a mechanic shop. Maybe they can patch or plug it. Even after explaining that it's dangerous to drive and separated tires are not fixable. She insisted that it's only 10 minutes away. She mentioned I may received a reimbursement if I replace the tire which I still haven't received. So I'm driving down a major highway going 30 miles per hour on the shoulder with a ticking time bomb of a tire ready to explode for 15 to 20 minutes because 1 800 number person didn't care. I get the tire replaced and head to vegas. We noticed some of the other tires are vibrating more and were the same cheap tires as the bad separated tire. So I decided this car was unsafe and Sixt should look into why the tires are like that. I think someone replaced the mini cooper tires with cheap ones. So I called 1 800 number again. Hey I would like to return this unsafe vehicle to a location in Vegas and be able to fly back. They said it would be a $700 charge which I didn't want to do. So I decided to swap cars. I was promised Hughes Center, 325 Hughes Center Dr, Las Vegas, NV 89169 had a car waiting from the 1 800 number. I show up and the guy tells me they do not have a car available and was told to drive the unsafe car to the air port sixt. I tried to explain the problems I had and he insisted they do not have any available. After back and forth I agreed to go to the air port and on the way out I apologized for being upset and he mentions no worries which unsettled me more. I told him yes there is worries. I'm driving an unsafe car after being told this location would have one for me! I show up to the vegas airport sixt which everyone there were helpful. The manager there helped me submit my claim for tire replacement and handed me keys to a vehicle fast! I received a car that had no issues and my trip felt safe after that. So in a nutshell the service from 1 800 number was terrible and the people from memorial city sixt did a bad job having cars available for their reservations. I still haven't received any news about my money for buying the tire or the gut wrenching experience of driving an unsafe vehicle
