My car broke down on a cold snowy evening, driving my kids to work & appointments. Called Enterprise in Carson City (our local + my hubby also frequently rents work vehicles with his corporate account). They had a car for me! The day was saved! Yea! Called a cab ($40 I should have spent to get a ride home instead! to get daughter & I to Enterprise before they closed at 6pm. Arrived @ 530pm but my driver's license was in my ski jacket at home. Ugh! Wasn't planning to rent a car.... My son sent a pic of it, from home, front & back, but they would not accept it. He got in his car on the snowy icy road, in front wheel drive car, to deliver it to me, but he arrived at 6:03pm. The lady kicked my 13 year old daughter and I out into the snow storm (we didn't have jackets or proper shoes) because she had to put the keys away by 6pm. That's their Policy! No exceptions !!!! 'So sorry' (Not sorry?). No rental car. Luckily my son's car, that we never use in the snow, had barely enough charge to get to the charging station once he plucked us from the slushy road. I hope we make it home safe in this blizzard. Thanks for nothing, enterprise employee! Way to go above and beyond..... lame!
PS. When I decided to review Carson City Enterprise on Yelp, I found an old 1 star review I wrote a couple years ago, but forgot to post! Ha! We dropped off a rental vehicle after hours, put the key in the drop box, but they could not find it. They accused us of lying, called my husband's supervisor...very stressful! A couple days later the key magically turned up, but we received no explanation or apology.

Rented an SUV two times from here in course of two weeks. I had mechanical issues with the first one, and while that was a pain, the customer service saved it. Cameron definitely made it right with no fuss. The next time Victoria was super amazing in helping me get the right vehicle for my needs, going above and beyond to allow me to find something that would fit what I was hauling and being super sweet with switches. Great prices and great customer service.

I ended up having a truck that kept pulling to the left constant flat tire, and the overall headlight, bright switch would stay on bright. The whole time I told him when I called they said, don't worry.Bring it back we will Take care of you thay only gave me one day off of four day rental. But that was okay.
The Carson City staff are wonderful to work with. Nice, courteous, efficient, helpful, and vehicles are always ready for use.

It would probably be in the best interest of enterprise to:
1) Clarify ahead of time the difference between utilizing a credit card versus a debit card. How is someone supposed to be prepared ahead of time with proof of residency if they're unaware of these requirements? Not only that, but how does a bank statement not count towards these requirements?
2) Speak respectfully to the customer when addressing these concerns instead of having a condescending attitude and doing essentially everything possible to deny them their rental.
3) Suggest alternative courses of action to ensure the customer is able to complete their purchase in a way that is compliant with the requirements needed by corporate.
You would think that enterprise doesn't want to take your money by the way the younger gentleman was attempting to deny my reservation. We had to come to the solution on our own, I think it was simple enough of a resolution that it should have been suggested by enterprise, but instead they wasted hours of our time by trying everything in their power to deny us. I am certain that corporate would be upset if they saw how this younger skinnier gentleman handled our reservation.
