Very disappointing experience with Enterprise Tromsø Airport.
We originally booked a Suzuki, but instead received a completely different vehicle — a Toyota Corolla Cross — which also had issues.
There was also confusion and mistakes with the rental agreement. Their employee admitted by email that there had been an error and later sent a corrected contract.
Most importantly:
the vehicle was actually handed over to us at approximately 11:24 (we have timestamped photos proving this), even though the system registered the rental starting from 09:48.
Later, we were charged for an additional rental day because the company registered the return time as 15:26, even though the vehicle had been returned much earlier. We also have photos and other proof confirming the actual return time.
The situation happened on 12.02. When we returned the vehicle at the airport, the employees told us that everything was fine and that there were no issues at all. But around 3 months later, they suddenly decided to charge us an additional 3100 NOK.
We informed the staff immediately about the contract problems and the delayed vehicle handover, and we were reassured that everything had been noted and that there would be no problems later.
Unfortunately, the final invoice does not reflect the real timeline of events.
I strongly recommend future customers:
— document everything,
— take timestamped photos and videos,
— save all emails,
— and carefully check invoices and rental times.

Attention, pratiques douteuses...

Stay away from them at all costs. The US Enterprise HQ should take action against this agent and revoke their franchise rights in Tromsø. They charge an outrageous admission fee of 550 krone per traffic ticket. Both my daily rental rate and traffic ticket fines are less than their admission fee. This is an unethical and shady business practice.
I am also forwarding my massage to mayor and Enterprise HQ in the USA
This message to Tromsø Mayor Gunnar Wilhelmsen:
Instead of wasting your time terminating friendship agreements with Murmansk, it would be more beneficial to establish a web portal in English that enables tourists to pay their traffic fines without dealing with the unscrupulous rental car companies located in TOS. It’s hard to believe that in 2026, the municipality still lacks a traffic fine payment portal…

A digital age scam: Kept my money, refused to give the car!
One star is too much. I rented a car through Booking.com / Rentalcars, operated by Enterprise. I showed up at the desk right on time, having the EXACT same credit card I used for the booking in my Apple Pay, plus a PHYSICAL debit card with more than enough funds for the security deposit.
Enterprise refused both methods. The reason? I didn't have the physical piece of "plastic" with me. We are in 2026, yet they refuse fully secured, tokenized digital payment methods.
The plot twist? I walked over to the competitor next door, rented a car on the spot, and they accepted my Apple Pay for the deposit without a single issue. 19th-century policies and zero customer support from a so-called global platform. Avoid them at all costs if you don't want to be left stranded without a car AND have your money taken!
