  TERRIBLE! You can get overcharged long after renting with them and they DO NOT CARE that the charge (example parking) has been paid in full by you. I do not wish anybody to rent with them. You will be better off spending double the money with their competitors...

  Please avoid hiring from this company. After a small accident in the ice, they charged me without initially providing any documentation. They charged me for a toll in Denmark (even though I was in central Norway), and then they refused to help me get my money back for an erroneous parking fine which was incurred by them or another customer weeks after my rental had ended. Finally they simply stopped communicating with me

  I never had such a bad experience with the deposit before. Normally it lasts 1/2 day max to get the deposit back but here was 7 days… Then I receive an invoice to pay the tolls, I pay back the tolls with my Revolut account because was in Kr then one day later they deduct the toll amount from my deposit… so I ended up paying twice. Communication with Alamo is really awful, avoid this company.

  This was the second time renting a car in Norway for over one week. The first time we went through Sixt and had an excellent experience. Though this time I decided to go with Alamo because they had the most competitive rates and I had used them domestically without issue. So I went ahead and reserved a standard class SUV a few weeks out. I was really hoping for a hybrid since planning on doing quite a bit of driving and gas prices are at least double of those in the US (I believe most of the cars available are some sort of hybrid but all of the sites I visited only distinguished between gas and fully electric). We got to the reservation desk and there was a very nice gentleman who was happy to assist us. He explained everything thoroughly, answered the couple of questions I had and processed the paperwork. We were on the road within 10-15 minutes. We got an upper trim level Ford Kuga plug-in SUV- just what I wanted (which is an Escape in the US). It was good on gas but also had a little bit of sporty kick, which is needed on Norwegian roadways. It was the perfect size for two adult passengers with luggage. The rental period went smoothly and without incident. We had an early flight so returned the car early morning and dropped the key in the lockbox. I received the final receipt within several hours. It was just as expected- no surprise charges, just the agreed upon rental price plus tolls and ferries (and taxes). I would highly recommend Alamo Trondheim- an all around excellent experience. I will definitely be renting from them again. Somewhat off topic, but I just have to say along with some of the nicest people I've met, Norway may be the most beautiful place on earth.

  Styr unna! Jeg hadde avtalt stor bil til ekstra pris og forhåndsbetalt, men fikk mini bil og beskjed om at prisreduksjon var uaktuelt. Får ikke tak i utleier pr tlf, sms, e-post.
