- PHPaul Hensel6 days ago1.0Had my front diff fluid changed along with some other fluids. The front diff requires you to remove the skid plate underneath it. After the service I noticed a bad rattle coming from under the vehicle. Sounded like the skid plate hadn't been tightened down. No biggie. Took it back to Valvoline to have them tighten the bolts and the tech said one of the bolts was missing and the threads were completely stripped. He Immediately started shifting blame saying that it was probably like that when I brought it in. Didn't like that. Then he said I was good to go. Surprised, I asked if they fixed it. The tech said they had. They zip-tied it with some padding to make it stop rattling. So not only did they strip the threads and not tell me about it, but then they're way of "fixing it" was to just zip-tie it. These two visits really tell me where their standards are. I won't be back.
