Update: I talk to intoxalock people yesterday and they just are so wonderful the person I spoke with absolutely fixed everything so quick and nice sorry about the past review you all are just so, you know, you just did everything right and easy and knew what to do to fix the problem, so perfect. Thank you, for you awesome help today.... No more bad reviews..... But yes they still got to fix some rules and things but, we all do.......Past: Intoxalock is very hard to deal with indigent approvals
I got to renew every year for the rest of my life and the rules in there registration regulations and rules are set only for people that eventually get their regular drivers license back one day.
I need to purchase the device and they don't let us because they say we get our license back which is not true to everybody, like myself. They really got to check things over and get better facts.
Another problem is they charge you a lot of money to fix your own car even if you report it. Like something as simple as putting a new battery, the price I had to pay to put my new was something like 97 dollars. Ridiculouse.
Not only does this not make since it's really not fair.
Because I driving around everywhere, is nice, ect.
Oh, yes, my vehicle recently broke down and needs a new engine so to switch vehicles not only do I have to wait one to two months for appointment I have to pay 379 dollars for the uninstallment and reinstatement to the other vehicle. And pay the monthly service fees while not going anywhere.
That's intoxalock ignition interlock that's not right. Not,
The mechanic shop it goes through because they are great they do great work and there price is right that's Autotech Brother's LLC.
But at least I get to drive when I have a working vehicle. So be it.

Frequently Asked Questions About Intoxalock Ignition Interlock
How does an interlock device work?
An ignition interlock device (IID) is a small breathalyzer installed in your vehicle to prevent it from starting if alcohol is detected on your breath. Before driving, you'll blow into the device. If your breath alcohol concentration (BrAC) is below the programmed limit, the car starts. Periodic retests occur during your trip to ensure continued compliance. To read more on Intoxalock, you can read our ignition interlock device guide.
What is the cost of an ignition interlock device?
The installation of an ignition interlock device, often called a car breathalyzer, typically costs between $70 and $150. This one-time fee is paid at the start of your lease and covers the service center's labor to install the device in your vehicle. Payment is made directly to the service center at the time of installation. For more on cost breakdowns, you can read our cost of ignition interlock device guide.
How do I use my interlock device?
Using an IID is simple. To start your vehicle, blow into the device as directed. If the device detects no alcohol, your car will start. You may be prompted for "rolling retests" while driving, where you’ll blow into the device again to confirm compliance. How-to videos are also available on the Intoxalock mobile app.

What happens if I fail a breath test on my ignition interlock device?

Depending on your state’s regulations, multiple failed tests may trigger additional penalties, such as lockouts or reporting to your monitoring authority.
