- CCCynAug 2, 20245.0Logan, at the Las Cruces, NM location on Bataan Memorial West, is a wonderful professional and was more than willing to work with my family and I when we needed to move ASAP! He accommodated all of our rental truck needs, as we ended up needing more time with the truck than we previously anticipated. He understood the importance of our situation, no questions asked. The rental truck we used had secure and heavy weight metal shelving within the walls of the truck for easier storage for items too heavy to lift from the ground up; I found that very useful with our weight plates. The truck door opened easily with little effort, it was full of gas and ready to use, clean, AC worked like a charm in this 100+ degree weather, it had a backup camera which I’ve never seen before on other rental trucks, even with Penske, the truck was easy to drive, as I am a petite woman, and I felt confident driving it. I couldn’t get the seat to move up, and the ramp door was difficult to pull out for use, but I just sprayed some WD-40 along the sides and that seemed to help some; my daughter also moved the seat easily so maybe I loosened it for her lol. Initially, the daily rental (24hrs), ended up being two full days, with a 100$ deposit that was still half returned to us. You don’t have to pay for rental insurance with them, if your current auto insurance covers rental coverage, so I would advise checking with your insurance company beforehand, to save some money. After using the truck two full days, I only had to fill it with a quarter of gas to return it on a full tank, and the AC was obviously blasting! Overall, my family and I had a great experience renting with Penske, yet again. I would def recommend this particular Penske location, as it did have some additional features than I previously had before at other locations—even having driven a little further to this site. I am firm believer that if the service is superb, I will drive the distance to be treated well by professionals!:) Nonetheless, Penske was affordable and the customer service was excellent. So glad to be done moving!
