- MMMichael McNeilFeb 15, 20261.0Had my oil changed on my 2016 Taurus SHO on 02-14-2026. The service including tax came out to $125.74 as I got 5 quarts instead of 6. This was a LOT of money for an oil change, Valvoline is substantially lower at $85.85 ($40 cheaper) including tax. On top of that they asked if I wanted to change my cabin air filter which was FILTHY. I asked the price and it was $49.00 plus tax, obviously that was a NO. Went home and found an STP filter on Amazon for under $15 which came today and took me less than 10 minutes to change including watching the YouTube tutorial. They then stuck the dirty filter back in place and did not even bother to shake it out, just put it in carefully so as not to eliminate any of the dirt on it. Hitting it on the ground lightly 3 times removed enough dirt that I could at least see light through it which I couldn't before. Needless to say, I will NOT be back even though they are literally only 3 minutes from my house. It's unfortunate but I will get my oil changed at Valvoline while at work in Albuquerque. I have ZERO brand loyalty but 100% price loyalty and Valvoline has earned it while Jiffy Lube has not...
