Thank you to the helper that helped me change my smart car battery. Really nice guy, and idk how the hell he did it. A smart car battery is a royal pain in the ass… he even came to my house. Talk about exceptional customer service. Thank you so much ! 💕 I’m forever grateful.

Went there to buy a replacement fuel cap for my vehicle as old one was stolen (this is Albuquerque after all!)
Sounds like a simple request, right?
Autozone staff hadn’t a clue what I needed and even after I told them the old one had been stolen, two members of staff independently asked me to show them the old one….. I pointed out why that was impossible and they couldn’t be less interested in helping when I asked if I could see a few to pick the right one. At that point the supervisor said “we’re not going to just pull them off the shelves for you to look at”. He then became rude and obnoxious so I left.
Contrast this to O’Reilly Autoparts one block along the street, with knowledgable and helpful staff who understood my predicament, walked out to the vehicle with me, and then selected the correct product on the first try!
Totally different customer experience.
Don’t waste time with Autozone. Go straight to O’Reilly
