Safelite replaced a windshield for a USAA insurance glass claim for USAA at my office. The technician put the molding back on incorrectly. The interlocking pieces didn't even touch each other, causing the molding to flap like a fish in the sand on each side when driven. It was obvious that the tech chose to leave rather than fix an obvious problem.
When I went to report it to Safelite, I was told there were no representatives available to take my call, after holding for some time. It directed me to their website to file a claim for their work. Wouldn't you know it, the first choice in the dropdown was molding problems! A message popped up when I completed the on line information that read "oops, something went wrong...try again another time"! What?!
Safelite's marketing team should be fired for spamming commercials on TV, and someone with some business sense should hire and train technicians to actually do the work properly.
If I could give them a zero, I would. And shame on USAA for continuing to pimp Safelite!

Repair was quick and efficient the tech with the glasses who worked on my car was nice however I’m giving it 2 stars because the guy who checked me in was rude and made a condescending comment about my deductible, somewhat making fun of me, some comments can be omitted, it’s a lack of professionalism to make them in front of the costumer too, I will never come back here.

I had labor work done in August of 2025 to replace a regulator for my door glass. It was fine for a while but then the regulator and the glass separated.
I called to get warranty service. The original work order had been deleted. The invoice had been deleted. However they agreed to warranty repair because I had my documentation.
Though the shop did not want to provide mobile service to my ZIP code saying that they do not customarily come out here. After a little social media pressure I did not drive the 40 mi to the shop and they did send a technician out here.
Jarrod D. Was my technician. He looked at the issue and we discussed it. He called into the shop for feedback as my vehicle is slightly older than he is.
Once we had a good fix on the problem he went to work very methodically and got it put back together for me. He fixed the door panel.
Additionally he helped me find and install a nut for my back glass (original factory installation) that had vibrated off on New Mexico's fine rural roads.
Now it's been 16 years since I worked in the industry out of the Colorado Springs market including for Safelite.
Jarrod did a fine job. His communication is great. I enjoyed visiting with Jarrod as he worked and gaining insight into industry changes in the sixteen years I've been out. And if I was a hiring manager in the industry ever again, he'd have a job if he wanted.
As for Safelite in general I will say thank you to Josh and Perry who I talked to yesterday. It's unfortunate I had to apply social media pressure to get you to send somebody mobile to me.
I understand why certain zip codes don't get serviced mobile but your advertising says you go everywhere. And you service many of the surrounding zip codes. And this borders on false advertising. That advertising is targeted at me in my ZIP code on YouTube etc
My neighbors at the community seed swap this morning we're a bit jealous I got a technician to come out too our area. I hope you'll open up 87062. You'll find some work here even if you scheduled only a few days per month.

This location chosen as an affiliate provider of Progressive Insurance, my insurance carrier on several of my high end vehicles, including my Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland, my BMW 650i X drive and the vehicle worked on, my Infinity Q50 Luxury Edition. Thought service would be exceptional. Wrong.......Installer broke a driver side mounting clip holding the sunglasses holder/interior light assembly that butts up to the windshield. When I returned the next day to have them fix it, the installer claimed he didn't damage it, and brought his manager out who said they would not fix the damage--that this was just "normal wear and tear" and not their responsibility to fix. I ended up having to take it to a reputable repair facility whose manager reviewed the damage, fixed it, and noted that is was definitely damaged in the removal/installation process of the windshield, as this mounting bracket could not have been broken simply by "normal wear and tear." Customers beware!!! Take before photos of your vehicle before even considering going to this facility. Better yet, select a much better and trustworthy repair facility that understands ownership, responsibility, accountability, and true customer service.

There needs to be an ability to put zero stars. I'd give them a negative 10 they suck at all ends. The tech was completely incompetent and couldn't even get my address right after giving it to him 3 times. He showed up at one after I was given notice he was on his way at 8. Then he broke the windshield he was putting in and had to get a replacement. I didn't know this until I got texts and emails telling me of added charges. Their system adds charges and gives no way to respond and verify or authorize them. They just let you know it was done and they conveniently say in the messages "as your tech has informed you there was additional work needed" and the wording indicates that you knew and authorized the added charges. Since I couldn't respond to the automated messages, I called the office and got an AI message saying all matters could be handled online. Only thing that I could do online was see the bill and add additional services. So, I called again argued with an AI bot until it figured out that I needed a person and transferred me to a call center. After explaining the entire situation, she informed me she was unable to help and needed to talk to the local office and would again transfer my call. She kept me on hold coming back every few minutes to let me know the local office had her on hold until they finally answered her call and she connected me. Explaining the whole situation again and describing what the messages indicated the charges were for all he did was argue that the charges were not for the added services indicated because those were already accounted for and the amounts were different. Finally I simplified the inquiry for him to get him to understand the basic question. What are the charges for?!?!? After looking at the itemized codes on the ticket that don't actually say what they are he figured out there was 2 windshields on the ticket. He was confused as to why that was and asked to talk to the tech and that was when we discovered he broke the windshield and ordered another. He talked the tech through the process of changing his replacement request that generated the charges and got them removed. I received the automated messages saying the charges were removed and a new receipt. An hour later the messages came back again and went outside to see that there was another van bringing another windshield and the whole thing happened again. Trying to explain to the tech he once again added charges to my ticket, and he needed to fix it like he was told an hour ago but since one of his two brain cells was obviously dead, he just could not grasp what I was telling him and responded he can't. So once again I had to go through the AI obstacle to get to the call center and explain the situation to get put on hold while they contact the local office. This time the call center came back and informed me the local office said they removed the charges. Never did get any messages verifying or a final receipt. The whole ordeal kept me at work an extra two hours. After all that I go to find the door glass that was replaced is wavy like when you heat up glass and melt it. It's hard to tell if he was too stupid to notice it or if he just didn't care and installed it anyway. With the way the management in the office handled everything to this point I'm not expecting much out of them. Everything from their procedures and system to workmanship and customer service is abysmal. The only one who was useful at all was the lady at the call center. Everything was dumped on her to get resolution even though she was not in a position to actually do anything. There is no way I would ever use these guys again even if they were the only place in town. I'd rather take my vehicle to the zoo and let the monkeys work on it.
