- IWIan WituckiMay 2, 20201.0Father-in-law got a 26 footer to move his family's belongings from Adrian, Michigan to Glendale, Arizona and I was to help him drive. Penske gave him a 2019 with 25k miles. Sounds good so far. Somewhere in Missouri a check engine light came on so we pulled over and contacted Penske. After waiting for 2 hours, a lazy mechanic was sent out by Penske. All he was wipe the codes and told us to be on our way. The next day, in the afternoon, another check engine light came on in Albuquerque, New Mexico. We were told to go to the local Penske shop where they spent 7 hours replacing one part and doing other maintenance. In the meantime, we were forced to sit outside in the sweltering heat next to a portable toilet and told to wait. No courtesy vehicle, no discount, no partial refund, nothing was given as an apology for the failure of the equipment (the truck) or the poor customer service that delayed our 30 hour trip by another 8 hours. I will not be recommending anyone I know to use Penske services or equipment and I will certainly not be using services or equipment in the future.
