Cars are not my specialty so when i have a problem arise autozone is always my first go to because in the past locations I’ve been to the staff is always very knowledgeable and willing to help. I am only in town for work and when my car had a hard time starting I assumed it was the battery so I went straight to autozone after a 13 hour shift to get it taken care of. Sure enough the battery test failed and I proceeded to purchase a new battery. I’ve had other locations install my battery in the past so I assumed this location would too as there were some prior reviews on here that stated they got theirs installed so quickly. Now the 2 young males present at the time did not take the time to tell me that they were unable to assist me in Installing the new battery as it was already dark out until AFTER I bought the new battery. If they had explained this to me before purchasing I would have just waited to buy it until the next morning. Now I have to carry a very heavy battery all the way to my car, neither of the employees offered to help carry it out… fine. The employees told me I could return in the morning and to bring in my receipt and they could assist me to install it. Although inconvenient, I agreed to do so. Come to today, I return to autozone and bring in my receipt like I was told to do and the young lady at the register says they don’t install batteries. I explain to her that I was told they do by their own employees when I bought it just 12 hours ago. She continued to deny so I left and had my battery installed at a nearby shop. The lack of professionalism and communication by the employees at this location is the reason for this review. Autozone has never failed me until today. These young employees need to be held to a higher standard when it comes to customer service. The only reason I give it a 2 stars is because when I returned to the store to return the old battery there was one very kind older employee who offered to assist me to carry it inside the store. A small act of kindness goes a long way and more of your employees should be like him.
