The car they gave him though had all season tires on, and in a Newfoundland winter studs are definitely needed. The car got stuck at stop signs, traffic lights, parking lots, in our flat drive way, slid around multiple times on the highway even with driving with majorly reduced speeds. He feared multiple times for his life while driving that vehicle. And the only reason I see why they don’t have studded tires is because of cost, they cheaped out. Even the loaner car from the garage that he has now because the rental was up has studded tires. Not impressed at all. Do not recommend a rental from them in the winter time.
