Went to shop for two cars and Tony attended to us. Did not greet me initially at all; just my husband. I introduced myself after three minutes while they were conversing. Just overall no interest in communicating with me nor making much eye contact throughout. I felt he was very rude and I asked my husband not to buy from him nor at this dealership. We will be shopping elsewhere. Receptionist however, was polite, friendly and wonderful 😊

I've been a customer of Ray Catena Union for 10+ yrs. My recent purchase with Daymond was amazing. I honestly wouldnt expect it to be any other way. I say this because I purchased my last vehicle with him as well. Daymond and his team were truly remarkable. All of my paperwork was prepared and ready for me upon my arrival. It was definitely a smooth and easy process.. I recommend Daymond because he's patient, informative, helpful and he ensures that you're pleased with your purchase. I signed the lease in July 2025 for brand new vehicle hoping to get the best experience while driving. Suddenly without any accidents or damages to my car while driving I noticed an issue with error messages on my screen. I brought my vehicle to the service department for a scheduled appointment due to a malfunctioning right beam/headlight and right turn signal, accompanied by multiple dashboard error messages. Unfortunately, my experience since that date has been extremely disappointing and stressful for several reasons:
1. Unprofessional and Accusatory Treatment
From the beginning of my interaction with the service advisor, Daniel, I was repeatedly questioned about whether I had caused damage to the vehicle. Despite clearly stating multiple times that I had not been involved in any accident or caused any damage, I felt pressured to admit fault. Even during a follow-up visit, I was again questioned in a similar manner. This approach was not only inappropriate but also humiliating and distressing. As a responsible driver and loyal Mercedes-Benz customer, I did not expect to be treated in such a manner.
2. Lack of Communication and Delay in Courtesy Vehicle
I did not receive a courtesy vehicle until five days after my initial visit—due to unavailability. Additionally, communication from the service advisor was inadequate. I repeatedly had to initiate contact for updates, despite being told I would be contacted. This lack of proactive communication added unnecessary stress and uncertainty.
3. Extended Delays Due to Internal Staffing Practices
I was informed that the technician assigned to my vehicle was unavailable for almost a week which delayed repairs. When I asked whether another technician could continue the work, I was told this was not possible due to internal compensation structures.
4. Confirmed Manufacturing Defect
I was recently informed that the issue with my vehicle was not caused by me, but rather due to a defect—specifically, a failure in the headlight assembly where internal adhesive separated, allowing water intrusion. This defect developed within only seven months of ownership, raising serious concerns about quality control and reliability.
Unfortunately, I have no way out of this lease right now, but would not recommend Mercedes anymore and specifically this location in Union, NJ.

Do not trust this dealership. All they try to do is sell you new tires, to the point where they will not fix other issues with your car unless you buy the tires.
I went there today for 2 issues: 1, my AMG GLE Coupe makes a very easy to hear rattling noise at the front center area. 2, My air conditioning does not blow cold air.
For the noise, he kept insisting it was the tires or the stuff I had in my trunk. I kept telling him it's been making this noise when my car had absolutely nothing in it. He kept acknowledging and then just saying it again later. He blatantly said, "we're not going to look into it until we change your tires."
For the A/C, he kept saying "it's actually cold in here" - completely ignoring me pointing out that it's 30 degrees Fahrenheit and no A/C or heat is even on. I kept pointing that out to him and he just kept being oblivious. I'm not sure how this guy even functions in society.
So we return to office and I talk to the other guy. He says to do the tires and A/C check it will take 2 days. We continue talking and I say, I just want the A/C looked into, which is under warranty. Now, magically, he said they'll need the car for a week and they have no loaners.
These people are shady. It was a similarly shady environment when I bought my vehicle, I was just too lazy to write a review at that time. They had no interest in fixing any of my issues, only in selling me new tires (my current ones have only 2,000 miles on them).
I will never buy another vehicle from this dealership. I tell everyone in my circle and business meetup groups never to consider this dealer for anything.
I am passionately an enemy of this dealership. If all of my efforts can talk at least one person out of buying a vehicle from this dealership, then I've gotten my justice against Ray Catena.
I will be filing a report with corporate Mercedes as well.
