  Took my 2011 Acura MDX (after another mechanic diagnosed it and said I needed a new transmission) to Victor a year ago. He changed the transmission fluid and said come back a week later for another trans fluid change. After the 2nd change, Acura runs great. Few months ago took my 2015 Tahoe with a bad transmission to Vic for a rebuilt trans swap. Tahoe runs better than new. Just got back from Ohio (from NJ) and was totally impressed by the smooth ride. This shop is A+++

  This shop knows it's stuff when it comes to the vehicle drivetrain systems, my trans went had it back in a week they were fast honest and efficient, I just also say that my trans actually shifts better now then the day I bought it so all in all I'm overly happy to have them work on my truck when needed

  The mechanics were very knowledgeable and honest. I went there thinking i needed a new transmission. They diagnose it as an electric short caused by a melted wire on my exhaust simple fix. Dean fixed the problem and didn't charge me he just said keep me in mind for your future needs. What a great honest shop. Highly recommend them.

  If I could give no stars I would. This shop was recommended to me by a local oil change facility. After speaking with Victor for 30 seconds and telling him that my 2016 sedan had just started having some very minor transmission slip while accelerating rapidly, he stated as fact “yep your transmission is shot - I replace those all the time, about $6k”. Not a word about running diagnostics, pulling the pan and taking a look at the fluid, nothing. Immediately right to a $6k transmission replacement. Needless to say I didn’t take my vehicle there. Brought it down to Hackettstown Transmission instead and Rich took the time to drive it himself, run a scan for any codes, and look at the fluid (sealed system btw which is why I hadn’t looked at it myself) and reported back that the fluid was old and dirty. Did a sub $200 standard transmission service and guess what, no more slipping now. Imagine that. Do not, under any circumstances, bring your vehicle to this shop unless you want to be conned out of your hard earned money. Take the ride to Hackettstown Transmission instead - you’ll get much better service and an honest diagnosis of what your car truly needs.
