TLDR: Have come here a few times. Quoted high for brakes earlier this year and had a questionable experience with a nail in my tire (2x this year). Service was good, but feel uneasy about this latest situation and won’t be returning. Maybe it’s just a coincidence, but something about this seems a little suspicious to me. For reference I bought my car new. It’s 3 years old with just over 40k miles on it. My car had a full inspection (Pennsylvania style) and an oil change in late January early February. The guys at the shop told me my cars in some of the best shape they’ve seen and could tell I take care of it. Flash forward to late spring/early summer I go to mavis to get my oil changed. It’s synthetic oil, but I still change it ~6k miles. My car alerted me that my tires were all slightly low in pressure. Mavis changed my oil and called me back to show me a nail in my tire. I was told the tire was patchable and chose this route. This was also believable due to the slightly low tire pressure alert a few days prior. I was also told that I needed new front brakes. The quote was rather high so I called my grandfather to ask if this was ballpark correct. My grandfather knows his stuff with cars. He’s rebuilt a Ford Model A, a ’67 corvette, and ’69 mustang. He would help with this stuff, but I’m not asking my 75 year old grandfather to change my oil because that’s just heartless. My grandfather immediately laughed at the quote. I don’t remember what exactly it was. I took my car to another place and told them about my brakes. The guy charged less than 1/3 of what mavis quoted and told me the brakes were okay and wouldn’t have needed to be changed for a few months. Okay great, almost got raked across the coals for brakes, but we are good. This was about 3-4k miles after I got my oil changed at mavis and them telling me I needed new brakes. So all is good, I continue driving about another 3k miles (just under 7k since my last oil change), and I take it to mavis again thinking they are convenient. My oil change only costs slightly more there compared to other places and I pay it for convenience. My car gives me no warnings that anything is wrong or remotely trending that way so I assume routine oil change. Well guess what? I have another nail in my tire… This one is in an unrepairable spot… that’s leaking quickly… seems a little sus to me. No tire pressure warnings? Nothing remotely wrong before? I got the tire replaced because they already had the wheels off and I needed to drive it away. Again maybe this is a coincidence, but I’m a blonde woman and I’ve seen the industry try to take advantage of women before so maybe it’s more. Either way, the rest of the service was fine and the staff seemed friendly enough, but I likely won’t be returning.

Antwon is a BOSS! Came by with my new to me 2010 Dodge Charger to see about an alignment. There was a car being aligned, and after that the tech was going on break. Antwon asked me if I could come back in a few hours and he'd get me right in. I ran some errands and came back and Antwon got me right in. I didn't know what to expect since the car was new to me, but the alignment was done quickly and I went home. I didn't drive the car until a few days later because of bad weather, but when I drove it the car was pulling a little bit to.the right. No big deal, as sometimes an alignment has to be dialed in. I went back and Antwon got me right in. He had his tech check the alignment and it was on point, so he told me he'd have the tech swap tires around to try and get rid of the pull. They put quite a bit of time in and got the car to go straight as an arrow. In the meantime I had a chance to chat with Antwon and it turns out him and I both know a few of the same people in the business. He's a nice guy who runs a tight and honest shop. I work for an oil change place, and I've told a few of my customers to see Antwon for stuff we don't do. 👍 👍

I discovered this place by accident....I had a tire blowout the night before and got my car towed to the nearest tire center. From the moment I walked in, Antoine and the crew took great care of me and my car. 🥰 Antoine gave me a great deal on a tire replacement - on a day when it made a big difference for me. ✦ But what really touched my heart is that, on this day, I met a really sweet older woman who was sitting quietly by the window... I was curious about her so I just started chatting with her, and asked what she brought her car in for...and I found out that she had driven nearly 1 hour to get to this particular location because of how much she trusts Antoine. She told me that, for several years, she's been "following" Antoine wherever he goes (re: all the different car shops he's worked at) because he's the most honest person she's ever dealt with. And from what I've experienced...she's not wrong. She was so incredibly sweet...and it turns out she's 90 years old. And she's not used to taking highways to unfamiliar places. And yet she drove from Summit to Somerset...just to work with Antoine. If that's not 5 stars, I don't know what is. ❤️❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥🔥 Thanks Antoine and Team. You guys are phenomenal.
