- EPEdwin PizarroDec 24, 20251.0Carlos is a real piece of work, Yesterday I visited your store to purchase two gallons of antifreeze. Upon entering, I observed only three employees present. One young lady was assisting a customer at a computer terminal, Carlos was on the phone near the cash register, and another employee in the back of the store was also on the phone. I proceeded to the back, retrieved the two gallons of antifreeze, and returned to the front to check out. Because Carlos was on the phone and closest to the register, I waited patiently at the register for approximately 10 minutes. During this time, Carlos looked directly at me several times but did not acknowledge me or indicate that he would assist me once he finished his call. As soon as Carlos ended the phone call, a young lady entered the store, and he immediately asked her how he could help her—despite my having waited at the register the entire time. At that point, I expressed my frustration and asked for his name. As a business owner myself, I pay close attention to customer service. Being ignored while waiting to check out, especially when clearly visible to an employee, is unacceptable. A simple acknowledgment or a brief statement such as “I’ll be right with you” would have gone a long way.
