    ❌ Zero Stars – Poor Service and Lack of Decency at Rio Grande, NJ Location Overall Experience: The level of service and customer support at the Rio Grande, NJ location is the complete opposite of the excellent standard I have consistently received at the Newton and Franklin , NJ Advanced Auto Parts. Most customers who come in are dealing with a technical problem and need help; unfortunately, the service here showed a complete lack of compassion and basic customer service. The Incident: I purchased a battery for my 2017 Toyota Highlander. When I attempted to install it, I noticed the negative terminal remained too loose even after tightening. I immediately returned to the store for assistance. • The Clerk's Reaction: The counter clerk (an overweight man with glasses, as noted in other negative reviews) dismissed my concern, stating it was "not a battery issue but your car." • Lack of Assistance: I asked him to look at the vehicle. He reluctantly came out, mumbled something negative, and insisted the battery was correct. • Installation Refusal: I then asked if Advanced Auto could install the battery, as I was having trouble. He flatly refused, citing a "lack of help" at that location. • Return Refusal: Finally, I asked to return the battery. He cited a company policy that any battery that leaves the store "can’t be returned." Clarification and Complaint: I later determined, after online research, that the clerk was technically correct—the battery was the right part, and other owners of the same vehicle have posted workarounds for the loose terminal issue. My core complaint is the contempt and lack of simple decency I received from this one individual. The complete absence of concern and unwillingness to even attempt to assist a frustrated customer is unacceptable. Conclusion: I will never spend another dollar at the Advanced Auto Parts in Rio Grande, NJ, and I will share my experience widely. — John
