Instead of completing the job efficiently, the staff kept stopping mid-service to attend to other customers, dragging out the wait time unnecessarily. And when they finally finished, they couldn’t even reset the car’s maintenance alert. If you don’t know how to perform the basic functions of a service you advertise, maybe don’t offer it in the first place. Still, we decided to give them another chance, thinking that as “tire experts” they might redeem themselves. Big mistake. We returned yesterday because one of my tires was losing air. They claimed a nail had gone through and that it couldn’t be repaired because it was “too close to the edge.” Something didn’t sit right, so I got a second opinion at Tire & Wheels on Route 17. Within ten minutes, they correctly identified the actual issue — the air was leaking from the sensor, not a nail. If Tire & Wheels could diagnose the problem in minutes, there’s really no excuse for Mavis. For a company that claims to be full of experts, it’s astonishing how little competence they actually display.
