I waited about 20 minutes to be told I needed to replace the tire since according to them it was on the side wall and thus unrepairable. My 3 month old 20 inch tire had a screw no closer than 2 inches away from the edge. I went instead to a mom-and-pop shop who plugged the tire and told me a new tire was unnecessary. I am very disappointed in the predatory sales tactics at this Mavis as I have been a loyal customer at the Westfield Location for years which always provided great experience.

Went there earlier in the year to have 4 tire sensors replaced on my Toyota sienna and they charge me $65 each. Just went there to have two more replaced on another vehicle and they jacked the price up to 129 a piece. Showed them my receipt from the last service and he said we can’t modify the price. It is what it is. Total rip off!!! Just to update contacted their Customer Solutions center and they were of no help either other than saying sorry about the increase. Went to a local shop near me and the part is $20 and he installed and configured it for $70 total. That included unmount to install sensor, Remount and balance tire and programming. You can also buy the parts on Amazon for $25. SO SHOP AROUND! Mavis is ripping you off!!!!

The agent I spoke with understood the urgency and emphasized that the tires could be installed on my car by 4:00 p.m. same day. Great! I scheduled appointment for that afternoon and paid the deposit. Sadly when I got to the Rahway shop around 1:30, I was told that they definitely would not have the tires in until the following day. That was really disappointing and I wish the agent I spoke to on the phone had let me know that from the beginning. On a positive note, I do appreciate that they were upfront and honest about the fact that the tires would not be in until the next day rather than try to string me along. And they did refund the deposit I put down on the tires without issue.
