- RWRalph Wagner2 days ago1.0I purchased a new battery from AutoZone. I go home change out the battery. I drive to the Gibbstown, NJ AutoZone location with the old battery and my receipt to get the core charge of $22 refunded. The store manager tells me I need the debit card the battery was purchased. The battery was purchased on my wife’s debit card which I didn’t have with me. He told he can’t give me the refund without the card. I ask for a cash refund, he tells me he can’t do it because it will look back on the store. Please tell me how this makes sense as I’m driving back and forth 15 minutes each way while lugging a car battery in and out of the store. If this is their policy it defies logic. Incident occurred on Sunday, January 11th.
