I brought in a tire with a simple nail in it — easy repair, less than 10 minutes at any honest shop — and they lied straight to my face claiming it “couldn’t be repaired” and “had to be replaced.” No explanation. No evidence. Just pressure tactics to upsell a tire I didn’t need. That alone is bad business. But what happened next is what pushed this into a whole different category of unacceptable: While they briefly had my car, someone went inside and disabled my camera without my permission. Let me repeat that: They entered my vehicle, touched my equipment, and turned off my camera. No reason. No consent. No transparency. Just… off. Ask yourself why an auto shop would want to make sure your camera isn’t recording. I’ll wait.
