I actually never got the replacement through Safelite. I went to the Bayonne location and I parked inside the garage.
A young man came out very rudely told me that I was supposed to wait outside, even though the garage space was empty. I sat there for approximately 30-40 minutes and I was then informed that the windshield that I had waited for an appointment for and took off work to get done, was apparently unwrapped with a crack in it and I would need to reschedule. My first thought was maybe if your workers weren’t so nasty then they’d be able to handle things without breaking them.

I’ve used Safelite twice and both times have great. This time the technician, Oscar, came to my house. He called to let me know he was on his way. He was also fast with the repair, friendly and put my mind at ease. If I need Safelite again I will ask for Oscar.

Don’t come here~ after I spend 200 dollars , it looks totally same ! If I can give them zero stars . I will give a zero.
today , after two weeks. while driving in the rain and using my wipers, I realized that part of one wiper blade was missing. one of one wiper blade was missing. I returned to the shop to ask about it. They told me they did not remove any customer’s window wipers during the wiper during the repair. Because i have cameras in my home . I see after I come here. My winder wiper was missing . I politely asked if they could provide a written statement confirming that the wiper was not removed while the vehicle was in their care, but they declined to provide one.
I am not making accusations — I am simply sharing what happened. I was hoping for clearer communication and documentation when raising a concern about my vehicle.
I believe customers deserve transparency when questions arise after a service. To be honest, I feel insulted by the way my concern was handled. I came here for a transparent conversation, but the dismissive attitude I received made me feel like my concerns as a customer don't matter.

My Safelite experience as a bit of an adventure. I'm glad it ended OK.
On Sunday Feb 1, 2026, I made a mobile appointment (at my work office) for Wednesday Feb 4 in the afternoon time slot. On Wednesday morning, my car did not start (battery issues), so I took my car to the mechanic and moved my appointment to Thursday afternoon. The technician did call me on Wednesday morning and I told him I would have to reschedule.
On Thursday Feb 5, I did not receive any contact from Safelite for my 1:30-5:30 PM appointment until 6:30 PM, when the technician called me and said it was too dark to do any work. I rescheduled online to Monday morning.
On Friday Feb 6, the manager called me to apologize for the missed appointment and he rescheduled me for Tuesday. He also said he would give me a discount but I had a promo code anyway and I don't think the two offers could be combined. The manager said the weather was better on Tuesday than Monday and moved my appointment to Tuesday morning.
On Tuesday Feb 10, the technician Angel arrived at 8:20 AM and completed the window replacement by 9:30. (Angel did call before arriving.)
On Wednesday Feb 11, on my way to work that morning, I noticed my passenger windshield wiper did not work. I made a warranty appointment for that afternoon, but again no one called or contacted me. I checked my dashboard at 4:30 PM and it said the repair was completed. I called and someone helped me reschedule the appointment to Friday morning.
On Friday Feb 13, at 1 PM, Oscar came and tightened something on my passenger windshield wiper and it started to work again. This took less than 5 minutes - he could tell what was wrong right away. (Oscar did call before arriving.)
I am somewhat frustrated that my windshield repair journey spanned over an entire week and took a lot of appointments to figure out, but I suppose everything worked out in the end. I would suggest to future customers to schedule appointments at least two days in the future and to pick a morning appointment so that you aren't squeezed out at the end of the day.
