High level of professionalism as he assessed the car battery for my 2021 Mazda 3, performing diagnostics to determine low CCA value, and then helping me identify a suitable replacement battery which he installed on site. All this while having to tend to other customers in a courteous manner (he was the only staff member on site at the time). Wanted to tip him for his efforts performing the battery install (not so easy to secure the new battery into place, and it was raining). But he refused tip. Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
