The car was what I needed and worked fine. (Should go without saying, but doesn't all the time.) The price was reasonable. (I don't know if it was the lowest available, but it was not sticker shock sort of high by any means.)
Those are things that JUST SHOULD HAPPEN, but don't always. The thing that set this experience apart was the coordination with related businesses for the convenience of the customer.
-- I was picked up by Enterprise from the repair shop where I left my damaged car.
-- I left the rental car, two weeks later, with the auto dealership where I drove off in a new car. The dealership has a relationship with a nearby Enterprise so it will be picked up from the dealer. BTW, it was not the same Enterprise location where I picked the car up, but Enterprise figured out how to handle it; I didn't have to.
The next day, Enterprise phoned me. I was afraid it was to clear up some loose end, because everything went so easily for me -- minimal red tape. But no, it was to solicit feedback on how the experience went. Hey, guys, it went beautifully.

My experience was excellent. The team at the Asbury Park location was outstanding—friendly, efficient, and very helpful throughout the entire rental process. Everything went smoothly, and I truly appreciate the great service.

5 starts all around! The first phonecall was prompt, brief, professional, and informative. And so was the car pickup, all the way thru the text msgs and the dropoff. Fantastic job everyone. Thanks for the great experience. (Everyything else was so great, we already forgot the smoky odor in the car.)

THEY LIE TO GET YOUR MONEY!!! These people are the WORST. I don’t know who they paid to give 4 stars, but it’s all a lie. The manager of this location is shady like a car salesman (which makes sense) . I guarantee you, book a car for the cheapest price, then show up. they say they’re not allowed to tell you what cars they have on the lot until you get there. Once you get there, they tell you they only have the most expensive one available.
Enterprise only treats customers with respect if they’re being paid by insurance. When you give them a deposit, they make up anything they can to keep it. Ask around, this place is terrible. So terrible that I wrote a review and I rarely do that.
