Ive gone out of my way to rent with Enterprise the past 3 decades whenever I traveled for personal time, and when travelling on business for the U.S. Army. Probably about 30 rentals in 3 decades. Of the half dozen times renting from Oakland, today was the biggest issue, where I was called a liar and a thief for returning a car with more fuel then I got it with (3/8 tank), while they claimed it had 3/4 tank. I told them their system was wrong, to which the response was, the system can not wrong, as they credited me the bill, saying how they're doing me a favor. Meanwhile I almost ran out of gas looking for a fuel station to fill late at night while travelling in the middle of nowhere PA, because they only gave me 3/8 tank. They sent me on the road with no paperwork, and no review of paperwork, or statement of how much fuel the vehicle had, or the vehicle's condition, which was in fact, full of scratches on a rear passenger door. If their system can't be wrong, as they claim, then someone who works there went for a joyride and I got 'upgraded' to cover their tracks. Prior issues at Oakland, never complained about, but now it's time: -They once gave me a car covered with hail damage. Couldn't see it because it was dark outside and raining, when I picked up the car. I freaked the next day, worried they'd blame it on me. It's the reason I haven't gone there for a few years, and got a damage waiver when I rented this time. -They gave me a dirty car (inside and out) and apologized, stating they don't have a carwash and didn't have time to get it cleaned for me. 3/6 is a VERY bad record. I won't be returning to Enterprise Oakland.
