    An experience that continues to impress. SIXT has a fleet of incredible vehicles for rental, making the travel experience something to look forward to and enjoy. Really appreciate the professionalism and great service by the Newark IA rental agent, Tammy. Makes me feel sad for the rest!

    Avoid Sixt Rent a Car Newark Airport. I was charged for services I explicitly declined (liability coverage) and given a vehicle upgrade (BMW X5) without being told it was $50/day extra. I only noticed the charges after already being in the car. There was no manager available at the parking area, and I had my newborn already strapped in after a red-eye flight. I had to find security just to get someone to come out. When the manager finally arrived, he initially refused to fix it. After pushing, the pricing was eventually adjusted—but only after unnecessary stress. Even then, I still saw unclear extra charges despite having prepaid online, and I was too exhausted to keep arguing. My husband and I have always booked with SIXT, which makes this especially disappointing. While it was corrected in the end, the lack of transparency and difficulty getting help made this a very poor experience. Double-check every charge before leaving the counter.     Excellent service from start to finish—professional, compassionate, and genuinely kind. Heric went above and beyond to ensure my experience was smooth, positive, and stress-free. The vehicles are immaculate and in excellent condition, which made the experience even better.

    I have generally enjoyed using Sixt, but their customer service rep is questionable at best. Ayinde who works at the front desk for pickup added a full insurance package to my rental after I requested full decline and a toll pass. I should have reviewed the added charges, but have rented 100s of cars for work travel and never had this happen before. After contacting Sixt's customer service they offered me a 50% reduction of the coverage I actively declined. I've rented from Sixt quite a few times over the years and am bummed by this poor level of service. You have lost a customer today and I hope everyone is weary of Ayinde at the front desk. Double check your rentals as he's scamming to boost sales #s.

    Very disappointing experience with Sixt. Customer service sent me twice to the Newark Liberty International Airport location and assured me there would be no problem receiving a replacement vehicle similar to the one I currently have. However, when I arrived, the staff refused to help under my current contract. I even told them that if there was any price difference or extra charge, I had no problem paying it. Still, they insisted that I must open a completely new contract instead of simply replacing the vehicle on my existing rental. I honestly cannot understand how this makes sense. This caused wasted time, frustration, and unnecessary inconvenience. Customer service and branch locations need to communicate properly and provide clear, consistent solutions.
