I’m not sure what happened to the security guard J. Vera from Statewide, but he was one of the best I’ve dealt with. He was always polite, respectful, and genuinely helpful. J. Vera consistently assisted drivers with parking, kept everything organized, and even stepped in to help medically when a driver needed attention. I’ve also seen him help multiple times by translating for drivers who needed support. His presence made the job easier for all of us coming in and out of the facility. Meanwhile, the staff inside the gas station has been pretty rude on multiple occasions. It makes a big difference when you’re on the road all day, and respectful service goes a long way. That’s why someone like J. Vera stood out so much—he treated everyone the right way. We need more security guards like him—professional, dependable, and willing to actually help drivers instead of just standing around. I hope the company recognizes the value he brought, because it definitely didn’t go unnoticed.
