  Everything was smooth sailing from start to finish! I arrived at the Emerald desk in the parking garage and was met with the friendly and smiling face of Andre. He was so warm and pleasant. I told him it was my first time renting from National and I asked him where I should go to select my car. He informed me that while my midsize was unavailable I could choose any car from the area he designated I was more than pleased with the vehicle I chose. Checkout was incredibly easy when I arrived at the booth. The woman who assisted me was very friendly and also warm she and I joked a little bit and it just made the whole experience that much better. The vehicle was very clean and well serviced. I met my needs and I had zero issues with it. When I brought back the car to return it, the attendant who met me was also very friendly. She checked in with me to make sure everything was good with the car and that my experience met my expectations. I can honestly say you have converted me from being a Avis and Hertz member to a National member. Thank you so much for this incredible car rental experience!

  Service is good here but if you leave an item in your car, it will be stolen almost immediately.

  PLEASE READ! The employees working at the Newark airport National car rental on 2/5/26 and 2/9/26 were absolutely amazing! I can’t tell you how personable, helpful, and just so kind they ALL were. I really can’t express how I wish everyone that works with the public would take a lesson from these young men! To the big dogs at National! whoever hired these young men, great job and to National corporate you’re lucky to have these young men, and I think they should be acknowledged! They are absolute gems!

  ★★★★★ Outstanding Service from Chad at National (Newark Airport) After a long flight with our kids, we arrived at Newark exhausted and dealing with snowy conditions. We are loyal National customers, and this experience is exactly why. Chad went above and beyond to help us. We specifically needed an all-wheel-drive vehicle for the snow, and instead of rushing us or brushing it off, Chad stayed with us, was patient, and worked with us until we found a car that truly worked for our family and the road conditions. He was kind, calm, and genuinely helpful at a moment when customer service really matters. Traveling with kids after a long flight can be stressful, and Chad made the entire process smoother and more reassuring. He didn’t just do his job — he took ownership of the situation and made sure we were safe and taken care of. This experience reinforced why we continue to choose National Car Rental, and Chad deserves recognition for his exceptional service.
