- RLRobert Lestingi1 day ago1.0I brought my car for an oil change 6 days ago and when it was done the mechanic called me into the shop and pointed out I needed to change a gasket on the exhaust pipe,and also made suggestions on different services I could do on the car. Yesterday I left my house and noticed what seemed to be a noise from the exhaust pipe I was going to Philadelphia, so today I went back to Mavis and after they looked at the car the mechanic called me into the shop and showed me the exhaust pipe was rusty and that it broke where the pipe goes into the muffler and that it would cost 1800 dollars to replace the pipe from the catalytic converter all the way to the muffler and including the muffler,it just seemed very suspicious to me that this problem occurred only 6 days after I left the shop.The same person was involved both times.He gave me the estimate of what it would cost to fix it,I took the estimate from him and left the shop.
- KKKD2 days ago1.0Be careful if you are coming in for a plug because they will say you need a new tire. A female friend had it towed here after a flat. The tow truck driver and I said the leak was in the perfect place to be plugged (center of tread). The car was parked as soon we could hear the leak and before it went flat. When she went to pick it up they said it couldn't be repaired because the leak was in the side wall. 🤦 She is convinced they wagered her knowing nothing about tires and would just say yes to a full replacement. When asked to see the damaged tire they said it was gone already and then offered half off a future oil change. The tire was a few weeks out of warranty.
