However, last weekend I brought back a battery under warrantee, and was told the battery would have to be recharged for 2 hours and tested before it could be swapped for a new one. 2 hours later the clerk confirmed what I already knew that the battery was bad, but then proceeded to tell me, that per protocol, I would have to go to a different AutoZone that had the battery in stock and start the entire process again of having the battery charged for 2 hours, and retested to confirm it was bad. I told him that was unacceptable and asked to speak to the manager. The manager, Alejandro, heard me out patiently, made a phone call to the other store, and facilitated me not having to start this entire process again. Good customer service is incredibly simple and in the long run saves everybody time and energy. Alejandro turned what would have been a negative review into a positive one with one phone call. Thank you.
