Everything is always in stock, the staff is knowledgeable, and I really appreciate the tool loaner program which “loaned” me the tool to complete my DIY wheel bearing job myself. Again, very impressed with AAP, I’d for sure continue to use them for all my auto parts needs.

Googled closest parts store for a battery and didn’t even realize advance was next door(I’m new to town). While I was looking at the reviews I saw they do battery replacements but the was some iffy reviews but non the less I walked over and was greeted by a worker named Nikki and I explained my situation to her. She let me know that unfortunately since I wasn’t in front of there store she couldn’t jump or replace my battery (safety for team members/busy parking lot. I completely understood.)but she was able to come up with a solution and let me borrow there jump pack so I can bring my car to in-front of there building.(first time every using a jump pack on my own but she walked me though how to use it). Brought my car over she came out tested my battery and verified it was bad. We Reviewed the different grade battery’s they have and installed the one I choose. Great service! Nikki Very helpful and knowledgeable and even taught me something new. I’ll definitely be back!
- JEJoe EastmondJul 30, 20252.0Went in today for oil and to browse and overheard an employee (didn’t catch the name but middle aged, face piercings, looks like he’s spent more time in a mirror than an engine bay) telling someone he was standing around talking to, that I’m probably a thief because I didn’t want help finding anything. Ironically the employee that said this was stealing company time to stand around and chat, while his coworker is running around like a headless chicken trying to help customers. Looks like it’s time to get in the zone

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle.
