When I was told that my battery was shot, the last thing I wanted to do was go to a store and attempt to replace the battery without being duped into making unnecessary or higher purchases. That most certainly was not the case when coming to this store.. I had a great experience at Advanced Auto in Hammonton! The store manager, Dave, was so incredibly helpful from start to finish. He took the time to help me choose the right battery for my vehicle and even installed it for me on the spot! It’s rare to find customer service that’s this caring and knowledgeable. Dave made the whole process quick, easy, and completely stress‑free… honestly it felt like talking to a friend. And we’re both dog enthusiasts! I really appreciate the professionalism and kindness — I’ll definitely be returning for future needs. Thank you Dave!!

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
