  Someone smashed my window, so I scheduled the repair through GEICO and Safelite handled everything the next day. The appointment was easy to set up, and the installation itself was surprisingly quick. The techs were professional, the work looks perfect, and the whole process took a lot of stress off my plate. Really appreciate how efficient and straightforward they made the experience.

  Scheduling, the appointment with safe light was very easy. He took my information over the phone. He gave me a scheduling date. I took my car to the shop for my appointment that had me register in. They told me it would be about an hour an hour and 45 minutes, which it was. They came out to the waiting room. They called my name. They said my car was done. They gave me details as to not to get a car, wash. And what to do? And what not to do? And they hand it in my keys, and the window looked excellent, laurie anne and new car.I would recommend safe light to everybody.

  Disingenuous. They quote their price before your appointment and only after a barrage of text and email messages confirming that price and appointment—they changed the price. Upon arrival a week later, they tell you the price was wrong by 4X the amount over what you were quoted. Took a day off from work for a waste of my time. I will look for another windshield specialist. Responding to safelite’s response: This exactly the kind of amateur service you can expect from this company at this location. Why would I want to email me about calibration “after the glass replacement”? Beware. Go to a reputable repair who knows exactly what you need before your appointment. I’ve made my appointment with Subaru. By the way, $600 less on the price. I would not recommend.

  Very Disappointing Experience – Safelite Hackensack NJ I had a very disappointing experience with the Safelite location in Hackensack, NJ regarding service on my Audi Q6 e-tron. My husband dropped the car off for a scheduled windshield replacement at 9:30 AM and picked it up later in the afternoon around 4:20 PM on my behalf. When he arrived to pick up the vehicle, he was informed that the technician could not locate the connection needed to plug in the computer to perform the calibration of the windshield camera system. For a vehicle like the Audi Q6 e-tron, this calibration is a critical safety step after replacing the windshield because it affects the advanced driver assistance systems such as lane assist and collision avoidance. Despite this, the vehicle was returned without the calibration being completed. When my husband inspected the vehicle before leaving, he noticed scratches around the rim of the windshield frame that were not present when the car was dropped off. There was never a walk-around inspection done at drop-off to document the condition of the vehicle beforehand. When he brought this to the staff’s attention, the situation escalated unnecessarily. A man who identified himself as the shop manager came outside and immediately stated the scratches were already there. When my husband asked to see the proof he claimed to have, he refused to provide it. Instead of handling the situation professionally, the interaction became confrontational. The manager appeared to lose his composure, told my husband to leave the shop, and threatened to call the police. He also followed him toward the exit and continued making comments. At one point several employees gathered around the reception area, which made the situation feel very uncomfortable. Management in a customer-facing business should demonstrate professionalism and self-control when addressing customer concerns. Unfortunately, that was not what happened here. Between the incomplete calibration, the scratches discovered after the service, and the behavior of the management, this experience was extremely disappointing. I have since escalated the matter to Safelite corporate and hope they review the situation carefully.
