Ya this place is an absolute scam they won’t show up and pick up the vehicle they had agreed to and when asked why they just say that they don’t have a driver

There is no way those 5 star reviews are legitimate. This place is a full on scam with some of the rudest employees I’ve ever dealt with. They were supposed to pick up a car from us and never showed up. When I called, the dispatcher/secretary told me they were busy and it wasn’t her problem I took the day off of work. Then she said “We aren’t going to pay you the price we quoted you anyway” and offered me HALF of it. Luckily I called the actual company who uses them to do pickups and they kindly resolved it. I hope they lose their contract for the apps that do car pickups. Just astoundingly bad all around.

Was working with Wheelzy to sell a car. Was told that the time frame would be 12-4pm for pick up. Got a call at 3:15 saying they were on their way. By 5pm no one came. Called the company to say no one came and was told they were closed for the day. I explained how I'm a night shift nurse and how unprofessional this was. Was told I never answered the phone call and then hung up on. Called back to speak to a manager. Was told that one of the tow trucks was in an accident and that was probably why no one came. If that's the truth, then okay so be it. But never received a call to update that. Was told I can reschedule for tomorrow, I said no because I work and need sleep. Also asked for what the company name was. Was given a complete lie. When I looked up the phone number it showed this company which makes more sense than what I was given. This company is unprofessional. Does not have good customer service. And they blatantly lie. Unfortunately they're not the BBB website to report them 😕

Pretty sure this company pays for their 5 star reviews. I called about a car they quoted me 400 then called me back n told me they didn’t even want to pick it up and hung up the phone on me. I couldn’t even get a sentence out without this dude assuming my car was in a ditch and told me ID HAVE TO PAY THEM to remove it. The car is in the tree line aka not in the parking lot it was behind the shop they could have easily pulled it out. I called another company who came and grabbed it with no assumptions or treating me bad. This company was good about 6 years ago and I was getting 20 cars a month towed out but since then it’s become a hassle to deal with them.

Frequently Asked Questions About Eco Metal Recycling

What is a "Cash for Cars" service?

A cash for cars service is a business that purchases vehicles directly from individuals, offering immediate cash payment. These companies typically provide free vehicle assessments, present cash offers, and manage all necessary paperwork and towing services, regardless of the vehicle's condition.

How does the cash-for-cars process work?

The cash-for-cars process typically involves four steps: first, contacting the company to provide details about your vehicle; second, receiving a cash offer based on the information provided; third, scheduling a convenient pickup time if you accept the offer; and finally, completing the necessary paperwork and receiving immediate payment when the vehicle is collected.
