- BWBuddy WingrenOct 28, 20251.0Whoever was working the pumps October 28 2025 at approx 5pm needs to find another line of work. Stopped in for $20 of gas, guy opens the filler, takes the card, then comes back a few mins later saying he "tapped" the card 3 times but didn't work. My card is a chip card, not a tap to pay type. Needs to be inserted. How does he not realize this? I get my card back, ready to go to the next station, and notice the guy never put my gas cap back on. I jump out and screw the cap back on myself and shut the filler door. Guy was talking to someone at the island and I said something along the lines of, "Thanks for leaving the cap off", sarcastically, I admit, yet not loud, confrontational, or mean. Suddenly I'm getting yelled at with every swear word in the book, and recieving violent threats of wanting to kick my ass. "Get out of the car tough guy", "I'll beat your pussy ass", etc. I was not being confrontational with the guy. He just has no self control and seems to be an arrogant hot head. All this in front of other customers, and to make it worse, in front of my elderly mother who has serious heart complications and was shaking at the excitement of the situation. Spent the remaining hour of my trip home trying to calm her so she wouldn't need an ER trip to end the day...or her life. Pumping gas is not rocket science. If this guy can't do his job, and be courteous while doing it, find someone else. Guy was lucky I had mom in the car this day, or who knows, I might've taken him up on his threats to GO. Dudes gonna mouth off to the wrong person one day. Got a keep that mess in check guy. If someone like that worked for me, he/she would be on the unemployment line real quick. Never stopping for gas at this station again. If I could leave zero stars, I would. *Interesting that when I arrived at the GSP Lanoka Harbor rest stop Sunoco, on fumes I might add, they had zero issues with my "chip" card. Attendant there was very courteous, knew how to do his job, and immediately recognized the chip and inserted it accordingly.
