Drove my truck in for a recall , they inspected it at check in and drove it through the lot with working brakes .I go to pick it up from the completed repair , step on the brake and it falls flat to the floor . I walk back in and tell them that I cant drive the truck , it has no brakes . The counter person says sorry , nothing we can do . I say well I cant move the truck . Again. Sorry . Manager comes out and says "its an old truck , we didnt touch the brakes , nothing we can do " "I would get that brake line checked if I were you " and eventually asks me to leave . I insisted and had the employee admit in front of the manager that when he drove the truck upon drop off , the brakes worked and yet still again asked me to leave further embarrassing me infront of all of the workers and other customers . I 100% gave them a truck that worked and they inspected at drop off . Now i have to tow it out because they wont admit they messed it up . Brake lines leaking next to the battery that they disconnected . Everyone refuses that they broke it , just tell me its an old truck . I drove it there with working brakes , 3 workers inspected , and took pictures as well as one drove it as standard procedure .i eventually got the manager and some other people outside to look at the way the truck was given to me . manager at first said your lines are leaking , we did an airbag , we didnt touch anything by your brake lines then later admitted to disconnecting the battery which is right near the brake lines. I work on cars , I work on my truck , I know my truck very well . Its a very low mileage low production truck . When I first dropped it off , multiple workers complimented me on the condition and low mileage of the truck yet the sales manager as well as all of the service employees had no problem embarrassing me after they broke it . I was forced to either leave my truck at a dealer I do not trust or tow it out on my expense , so I embarrassingly towed it to a real shop .Also worth noting that the tow truck driver pulled up , rolled his window down and first words were "this place sucks dude "......SO PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY AT THIS DEALERSHIP , THEY ARE CROOKS AND IRRESPONSIBLE. I cant even imagine if it was my mom , wife or daughter thay this happened to and how they would react .
Even after i put the pieces together , they disconnected the battery (manager admitted) and shoved it down knocking into the brake line causing it to leak i was just asked to leave . Stay away from this place , even buying a car there will tie you to their service department which is the lowest quality service department ive been to . CALLING SOMEONE TO PICK UP THEIR VEHICLE , HANDING ME A PAPER RECIEPT SAYING YOU DID A FREE 28 PT INSPECTION AND HANDING ME THE KEYS TO A TRUCK I COULD HAVE GOTTEN KILLED OR KILLED SOMEONE ! GOOD JOB . STAY FAR FAR AWAY .
*****update 4/6 ****
Manager that said that he wanted to "make it right" sent me back a reply again denying any wrong doing in leaving me with a truck that I had to tow away from a "qualified" repair shop . He also went on to assume that I just bought the vehicle a couple months ago when I have owned it for the past 10 years based on a car Fax reading . Why is the history so important that you want to look up a car Fax and then make assumptions. I had just moved to the area a few months ago and went to this dealer based on reviews . Boy was I wrong . You didnt make anything right and completely deny that you tried to hand me the keys to an unsafe truck . So I have to pay the tow , pay the repair and have the truck tied up in the shop .
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE stay away form this dealer at all costs . Theres so many other stand up professional dealers close by , dont be subject to FREEHOLD DODGE SUBARU unprofessional and unsafe practices . I will continue to update this post if I hear back from them but im assuming they dont care and have completely dismissed ANY wrong doing .
