They said it would last for 10 k miles (They put a sticker for 3000 miles and said that was because the machine that printed the sticker was not working). After 2.5 k miles the level of the oil dropped to a dangerous level. The engine almost got damaged. When I changed the oil it seemed coal-black, very used. Moreover, they "checked" the coolant level in the radiator and kept the lid loose which also brought the level of the coolant to a dangerous level and almost damaged the engine or at least the the pump or other parts. Also, it turned out that they did not change the oil filter in spite of having charged for it. I do not recommend this shop.
- JHJon HNov 10, 20251.0The manager, Terrel, removed my battery with the engine running on a Jeep Wrangler. This is explicitly prohibited in the Jeep Wrangler service manual as it can fry the alternator’s voltage regulator and the PCM. I inquired about why he removed the battery with the engine running and he said “I’ve done this hundreds of times I know what I’m doing.” Sure enough when I called valvoline afterwards, they were shocked and explained their policy is to never, ever remove a battery with the engine running.
