- JRJohn RiceOct 29, 20241.0I came in with a clutch that was not engaging and a bent clutch pedal. The guys at Denville transmission said that they were unwilling to replace the clutch pedal and did not specify any reason why other than they “don’t normally do that.” I don’t know how these people can consider themselves a transmission shop if they can’t even replace a clutch pedal assembly. I didn’t bother giving them my business after hearing that-I just towed my car elsewhere. If you’re looking for reliable transmission work done by trustworthy, competent mechanics, look somewhere else. Edit: My reply to their reply: Don’t be disingenuous. A clutch pedal assembly is what allows a transmission to be engaged by the driver, so it has a LOT to do with the transmission. 😂 These guys just didn’t want to to the job. If only they were honest enough to just admit that instead of typing such a foolish reply! They should be embarrassed…
