  I’m convinced the positive reviews here are their friends and family. prices are ASTRONOMICAL. $200 for diagnostics, so a total of $660 for a new battery and an oil change is *insane* My sister brought her cat in (not on purpose- AAA made her use them) for a BATTERY REPLACEMENT and an oil change. THATS IT. As soon as we picked it up, it was making the loudest and most ridiculous noises we’ve ever heard a car make- and then halfway home it died. They quoted her $18,000 to fix whatever is wrong with it NOW. She bought the car 5 years ago for $10k, it’s not even worth that. All of this for a dead battery. Don’t use this grimey place. I’d bulldoze it if I could.

  I was introduced to Matthey Automotive via AAA, my car was towed there. They acted quickly to not only fix my car (alternator went) but drove to home. I am now a repeat customer, I just had a new radiator+ fixed. I went home and saw a leak in a new area. I reached out and received a text in less than 10 minutes instructing me to return the car that Monday. When I got there, I explained what was happening and was provided with a loaner car for the day. My car was fixed the same day by 1 pm. Amazing customer service and staff. I made Carl my contact person...lol. Thank you Matthey's, you are truly appreciated!!

  Took my van here before and the work was done well. Called back for a transmission replacement and the girls quotes between 8k-12k for a 2005 f150. Holy hell that's a massive rip off for a install. Avoid this at all cost.

  They tried to give me back my van with the engine cover off after I paid them.When I requested the engine cover be replaced,they told me to wait while they got the mechanic.I waited 10 minutes in a 90 parking lot and left.Unacceptable.Stay away.

  I would have loved to give Matthey a positive and great review but they were neglectful and unprofessional. I had a transmission installed in my handicapped van, which was very costly. When the job was finished and I was told the mechanic test drove it. I picked my handicapped van up and drove it for one day and kept hearing a noise. I called them and they informed to bring it by and they would look at it. When Matthey mechanic drove it, they heard the same sound I heard one day after getting it back. I was informed it was my motor mounts . Mind you Matthey had my car for a week and installed a transmission, so they had to see the bad motor mounts. Then to make matters worse, they did a whole inspection of my handicapped van and pointed out 14 other things that needed repairing but never mentioned anything about motor mounts. I took my car to another repair shop for them to tell me three motor mounts were bad. Matthey had me drive my disabled son in a handicap van that had very bad motor mounts that could have been repaired while they had the transmission out. This situation was not only lack of care or quality of customer service it was neglectful. Be very mindful to ask questions and hold them accountable for their mistakes. Customers are very important today , appreciate them .
