    Steve was an exceptionally courteous employee who helped me today. His disposition displayed himself to be reassuring to this customer because he was sure and secure in his job duties. In other words, he knew what he was talking about, and was very friendly and helpful as well.

    I purchased a battery October of last year. The battery died October of this year. A friend of mine went with me and the battery was purchased under his phone number, however, I paid for it with my debit card. I went there to return my battery and was told that I could get a full refund, but the manager said that I was given false information and could only get a $10 gift card. I had a family friend purchase a battery and replace it for me. The battery I purchased at auto zone was faulty and died a year after I got it. I paid $150.00 for the battery for a 3 year warranty and got a $10 gift card. I think it’s ridiculous they didn’t honor my warranty and never refunded me the money like that said they would. I will never go back there again. Very unprofessional.

    I went in looking for a simple 5 pin relay to the Belmar, NJ Autozone on 1733 RT 35 S, 11:00 am, 11/2/25. I was the only customer in the store and there were two employees there. I went right to the counter and explained what I needed. They wanted to know make & Model. I explained that this was for a 50 year old motorcycle project I was working on, and not a replacement of a stock part. Just a standard 12V, 5-pin 30 amp relay. They said the relays were in back and they needed make and model to find it. They were not willing to look up relays on their computer until we found the right one. I asked if I could go back and look myself, as I knew exactly what I needed. They refused, so I said, OK we'll just keep guessing random makes & models until we find the right one. They got rude with me and said they were too busy to do that, but I was the only customer in the store! They were not willing to look relays up on their computer until we found one. I left in disgust and went 1 mile down the road to Advanced Auto, where the employees were friendly and helpful. They looked up 5-pin relays on their system until we found the right one (pn 88069) and got one right away. What a difference, AutoZone is off my list of auto parts suppliers.
