Aberdeen store location is by far the most helpful that I’ve had when coming to my car problems. Michael, who was the store manager helped me he was very nice and Brook, who was very sweet from the get go. As I was walking in she jumped up so fast to assist me I will recommend this location to anybody that needs help with their vehicle Everybody in the store seemed very nice. The store was clean. I was very satisfied

I really don’t know what to say. Bought brake pads from them at another location in Hazlet. They didn’t have the rotors but told me Aberdeen had them. Picked up the rotors here and when the clerk was helping me he asked me if I wanted gold or regular. The hazlet clerk did not mention gold was a bit more expensive and just sold me gold. Ok no big deal still had the pads and receipt in my car. After I dropped the rotors off at my car I went back in with the pads and asked to exchange them for the cheaper alternative. The clerk who greeted me this time was a different person. Right away he starts getting accusatory. He asks why I’m retuning them and I explain I didn’t know there was a cheaper option. I thought this would be the end of conversation and he’d do the return and exchange for me. Nope. Instead he starts grilling me on why I didn’t buy those pads there. I said I didn’t know there was a cheaper option, and then he goes off about fraud. He says when did you get them? I say literally less than an hour ago. There’s a 90 days return policy clearly printed on the back of the receipts saying new and unopened items can be returned for a full refund. Had he simply opened the box he would see the pads were still in the shrink wrap. Also insane to think a customer would have some nefarious brake pad scheme in the time it took to go from one location to the next. Anyhow, he has the audacity to say some outlandish nonsense about its my money and my responsibility to know what I’m buying as if to insinuate it’s my fault for the clerk not telling me all the options available to me at the other location. At this point I’ve been pretty patient but I say it’s on you guys to help customers make informed decisions and if you have multiple product lines available you need to tell customers. Must have triggered him because at this point he starts getting really aggressive and even raising his voice. I have no choice but to laugh at him, and tell him to calm down. I asked to speak to the manager, he says sure but walks away. Another employee helped me with the return. After feeling totally disrespected and disappointed I decide to check out advance auto parts. Since we only did the back brakes I see if they have a better deal on the front rotors and pads, since those were still unopened. They had a much better promotion. Because I was so throughly disrespected I decide to order from them. The following day (9/24) I returned the front pads and rotors. I brought my girlfriend in this time to see if I was the one being ornery. She witnessed the the entire exchange and she witnessed yet another clerk give me a hard time! She goes what was that about? I could only laugh and say that was hands down the worst customer service experience I feel seriously bad for the manager of these clown show disrespectful employees. Nobody seemed like they wanted to be there or help people. If you were seriously worried about potential fraud that’s one thing but to proceed to double and even triple down on being a rude jerk is another. I would never return to this location and will advise everyone I know to try advance auto parts instead.

I bought a battery online, I went to pick it up at 8:20 pm, the store closes at 9 pm, they gave it to me and didn't say anything to me, I asked if they wouldn't help me put it in, they told me no, to come back the next day to help me with the battery, yes of course my car doesn't have a battery and I'll be waiting until tomorrow when you guys are more eager, their argument was that I couldn't leave the store alone, there were 2 employees, he told me that the other employee was not trained to be alone in the store or to put the battery in the car, I asked them to lend me the tools that I would change the battery myself, they told me no, they told me that if I had gone in person they would tell me we weren't going to help you with the battery, it's not my damn problem, they said it's not their fault that they don't say anything online, I told them when I bought the battery they didn't tell me that, they say that you would help me put it in and that I should pay to pick it up in 30 minutes, whether you have trained employees or not, that is not the customer's problem, Autozone charges for a Service, a product, they tell you they will help you and do it and then it's all a lie and a scam, this store is crap, I will never buy from Autozone again, they are not professionals and that's not how you do business or sell a product, THEY ARE USELESS
